No GMO’s

My family and I have joined the challenge to avoid GMO’s and invite you to join too.

GMO’s are Genetically Modified Organisms.  Did you know that if there is a non-GMO corn crop planted beside a GMO crop the non-GMO crop will take on the same characteristics of the GMO crop?

I will give you tips on how to avoid GMO’s and other important information.

Here is the first:

1. Avoid the Top Five GM Crops: Soy, Canola, Corn, Cottonseed, and Sugar from Sugar Beets

Try to avoid any processed foods containing ingredients with sugar, non-organic soy, corn, canola, and cottonseed.  Look for “soy lecithin”, “soybean oil”, “cottonseed oil” and “high fructose corn syrup” and avoid these.

This also includes any food at restaurants that has been cooked in soybean oil or vegetable oil.

    Hi

I have just made this 1940’s style film for Greenpeace as part of the anti GM Rice campaign. The EU is currently considering passing a law allowing chemical giant Bayer’s GM rice to be sold in Europe.

This strain of rice, LL62 has been designed to withstand higher doses of a toxic pesticide called glufosinate, which is considered to be so dangerous to humans and the environment that it will soon be banned from Europe. We really need people’s help to stop this happening by signing our petition at http://www.greenpeace.org/rice

Watch and see what you think
